Out this AM, windy & choppy at S.Arm. Looked like a commercial opening South of the Arm.
Was looking for a Spring. Got none.
About 10 pinks in 4 hours, then got tired of rolling around and came in.
Bled and iced 1 pink for tonight.

Ya I flew out to Calgary this morning right over south arm and only saw a couple of boats out. Weather was nice but looked choppy.

Went out to the cap this afternoon, released an undersized spring, kept a hatchery coho and caught this 19lbs spring right before lining up on an anchovy with no flasher.

Fished the cap yesterday morning. Released a wild coho and got a nice white spring on a bloody nose teaser. Went for a troll down west Van but no hits anywhere but in front of the river.

Went to sandheads today and got a really nice spring. Fish turned out to be 27 lbs by the time I got home bled out tho. Classic part of that fish was my buddy losing the net overboard as he's netting the fish and jumping off the back of boat and grabbing net with fish in it. All of a sudden he's behind boat treading water holding net up. I'm shitting myself scramble to front power main and reverse back to him. I grab net and other crewman grabs buddy. Un fn believable. Finished day with 2 springs and 4 pinks. Also lost 2 springs including 1 to a sea lion which I've never seen before in local waters. Out tomorrow. Gonna fish nortgcarm and bell

Had a good friend out yesterday, who was dying to catch his first Spring. He had caught sockeye and pinks, but never a spring. Started off the Cap first thing in the morning. No action to show for it. Finally pulled the pin at 10 AM and made the run down to the mouth of the Fraser. Got the lines down and fairly short order got a 12 pound Spring. He was thrilled and that would have made his day. Kept fishing and had a couple get off shortly have hooking them. Around 1 PM the fishing really picked up. Landed 6 more springs and 3 Pinks. Missed 2 other Springs. What a day for my buddy who was just wanting 1 Spring. Attached a photo of the biggest. Was hitting them on hoochies mostly, but had 2 on choive. Depths were 42 to 77. Barely any Pinks out there, seems like they have been mopped by the commercial opening.

was out yesterday at first light went out to QA and the plan was to fish the flood back to the N Arm. On Mon there was fish everywhere managed to stay below the pinks and finally got a 10# hatch Ho after releasing 4, yesterday nada! didn't even see any pinks jumping. Managed one humpy on a pink hootchie that's been working on the coho last couple weeks but that was it. Stopped off at the Cap for a bit but it was already well in to the ebb, couldn't believe all the boats! on a Wed. must be 'cause of the great weather. Saw a guy fishing from a canoe, he was playing a fish right at the marker I thought he was anchored but he must have been held in by and eddy. He landed the fish and kept on going trolling 2 rods while paddling, wish I had my big camera for that.
Is the commie opening finished at the mouth? saw lots of poles in the air over that way so I stayed away

Nice reports morganic and cohochinook!

I was going to head out to find chovi-wan's other boot tonight but sounds like the Fraser mouth is still producing some springs, is the bell buoy the place to fish on a low slack?

At the bell right now. Gonna pull pin and head south, dead here. Got 1 undersize spring. Got 2 buds on board that get out once a year so gotta gem into fish

Hit the cap for the evening flood last night. Boxed 2 x 15 red springs within the first 1/2 hour. Lost two more beside the boat. All on chovies no flasher dragging the balls in the mud. Be back out again tonight.

Hey gypsy, I'm at the lightship right now with 4 whale watcher boats watching a pod of 5 orcas and all I've caught is a jack and small wild coho, and I've been here since 6:45, if I were you I'd try the t10 good luck!

You can still fish for Hatchery Coho (Marked) that are 30 cm in length. Area 28 (28-1 to 28-7, 28-9)
