Lucky Bug Zombie Maxx

Sort of a jointed segmented lure that looks like a baitfish.....and is trolled.

Has a nose on it that looks like a plug......

Supposed to work real good around Campbell River......

Anybody used one?

Any good?

Looks allot like an Allure Cannibal lure

all I have ever caught on them so far is a coho,
but they do look really cool swimming alongside the boat

Those in the photo look exactly like the L.B. Zombie Maxx except for the nose end..........but they have the "Lighthouse" branding and the price is way less expensive.......$5.99 for those?....

They have a LED in them?

Yep dragged them around the WCVI last year, no amazing results as supplied. By the time you swap you out the split rings and replace the treble hooks with a single from the front eye, you are better off with a Seaowl products one or Allure products one. They supply there's with singles, which is a better swimming action, that produced for me. The split rings and trebles supplied by Lucky Bug tend to bend and distort.

highly recommend the SeaOwl ones ;) Single Owner hook or double Gamakatsu hooks - all pre-rigged with heavy stainless split rings and/or barrel swivel.
we also have a 9.5" version for later in the season when the 5.5" versions becomes to small to imitate pilchards or mature herring
9.5" Master baitfish - http://www.seaowl.ca/collections/lures/products/master-bait-fish
5.5" Slayer baitfish - http://www.seaowl.ca/collections/lures/products/slayer-bait

sold out of the first round already but should be back in stock in a few weeks

but in general, stick to ones with full heads, dont use the LB notch just takes away from the look and dose not add any additional action. it also puts the front hook to close to the line and it hangs up if u cast them.
The cannibal and allure are great producers as well!! had good success with them before launching my own version.

You have to replace the trebles, with one forward hook and swivel (I went with a Gammy 4/0 or 5/0 siwash, can't remember which). The action looks wicked, will probably catch fish, but I haven't given it long enough of a try yet. You need to be careful though, just like a plug the hook can get caught on the body, be sure to rig it right.

I think these are more just an evolution of plugs, cool stuff IMO
