Downrigger problems

One of my electrics had a spool split in half. Any ideas on buying a new spool and putting it together myself? If not does anyone know how long scotty normally takes in season? Not really wanting to send it in for months. Thanks

Scotty's usally pretty quick with their replacements, shouldn't take long. Just out of curiosity was it braid or stainless on the drum.

stainless. I fish braid but hadnt switched that downrigger over yet.

99% chance they will fix it under warranty.
