What's for dinner tonight ?

That looks amazing. This is a bit of a rookie question but whats the process for turning the prime rib into a steak? Just slice into 1 1/2" steaks or is there more to it? I want to jump on this deal...

Nothing to it. Take your saber, and cut into 1.5" steaks.
Helps to have the meat very cold, and you have to do a little creative cutting around the rib bones.
But essentially that is all there is to it.
We do this every year they come on sale...

Cheers & ENJOY!

My wife and I are making 10 lasagnas for Christmas presents to family. When we were kids my nonna always made lasagna with tiny little perfect meatballs in the sauce. I took this on as my own tradition as well and my wife thinks it's just the cutest. I thought she was joking when she said she wanted to do that for these lasagnas .
12 jars of Mutti and 2000 meatballs later here is our pot of sauce ready to rock for tomorrow.

Thats awesome! Good on you guys! Great gift for family.

Smoked rib roast tonight! Smoked for 4 hours at 200°F pulled off the smoker at 125°F and threw it in the oven at 550°F for ten minutes. It was at 137°F when I cut it up, just the way I like it!

I’ve hit the jackpot with my mom being part of our bubble! This morning my wife tells me my mom is coming over to teach her how to make the peach / chocolate / vanilla cream cake we all love and asks me if I can make a nice dinner. Yabadabadoo. So I make slow cooker short ribs with a from scratch red wine gravy, garlic mashed potatoes, and baked Greek salad with goat feta cheese while they bake and bake. Two bottles of black hills Syrah later and I’m in heaven. Not sure how I’ll make it to work tomorrow?

going to giver a try with blue fin tonight.. how long do you mix this together before serving?

Given the madhouse / whirlwind of cooking that is about to be conducted for The Season, we decided to keep it somewhat simple last night.

Teriyaki Tuna

Into bag with the glaze for a couple hours:

Basmati into rice cooker, The Missuz on the Caesar salad, cheesy garlic toast in the hot box, then drop the tuna steaks on the grill (fast sear both sides is all that is required, you want the inside just warm, not cooked):

On the plate hot with the rice, you can see how the teriyaki caramelized:

Then the setting for two:

Relatively quick & simple, but Oh So YUMMY!
