Can I Use Treble Hooks - 25-125

Hey Guys,

Going to be going up to Nootka for the first time next week for a BYOB trip, and i am having a bit of a tough time deciphering the regulations.

Are you allowed to use treble hooks at all in areas 25 & 125 ?

I believe the reg's say you may use a treble hook with barbs crimped and only one piece of bait (as in a bait holder).

• Only barbless hooks may be used for all salmon and sea-run trout fishing.
  • Treble barbless hooks are acceptable in most areas; except in tidal areas of coastal rivers and in areas where special management measures are in place. Check the regulations for the area you are fishing before you go.

is 25 / 125 considered a tidal area of a coastal river ? or does the AND mean that it also has to be specifically called out in the areas regs ?

Tidal area is the estuary at the mouth of the river And restrictions are specified, as in Area 23.
