In case it wasn’t clear I spent $50 on the drop fryer at Canadian Tire
They're amazingly cheap.

I have these big hot oil storage pots and a micro filtration system that makes the oil keep really well. But oil used to be so cheap it wasn't worth the cleanup to keep it so I used to just chuck 40L of oil after one event. I'll be utilizing that stuff again now.

I'd like to see this. We waste a ton of oil. Turkeys and chicken destroy the oil.
 
I've got some brand new chugger pumps from when I used to make beer. Dunno if a racor filter is food grade though lol.

We waste entirely too much oil that's for sure
