Agreed, spray everything that isn't stainless steel or galvanized, except for the brake pads and rotors/drums. I don't think it matters how careful you are washing after use, salt water will destroy everything carbon steel if it's not protected either galvanically or with a good coating. Even coated it's only a life extension, the rust will win eventually.
