Smelly jelly or not

I find that I get stuff everywhere by the end of the day... Mostly on the line and the downrigger clip.... I haven't used any scents for a couple of years and catch plenty of fish.

Does smelly jelly make the difference between getting salmon or not all other things being equal ?

i dont use any smelly jelly... but if i did i would not put it on hoochies as the jelly can cause the hoochie tentacles to stick together which changes its action.

If it's smelly hands you're worried about try grabbing a little seaweed drifting by and rubbing it on you won't smell like anything but.

Isn’t there a Charlie white video of him putting a spoon or something in the bilge and then catching a fish on it. But on the other hand I remember my uncle trolling and was on medication or ointment and didn’t catch a fish on his side and partner did until he wore gloves then he caught fish so who knows
