shimano 4000 drag problem

i had to tell my guests that he had to squeeze the spool then tighten the reel, his comment was "these are new, what crap!".
tyee marine said that they will send the reels to the rep..they will fix them.
i will have to pay for shipping
thats part of the warranty.
i have to buy new line to fill up old reels or take the line from the new ones and put on the old reels.
frustrating.
