I've got a 2002 double eagle 16.5
I'm planning on putting a brand new 90 on it I'm stressed out big time on what to go for . Mercury or yamaha etc I'm stuck lol

I don’t think you could go wrong with a new outboard.
Suzuki, yamaha, Tohatsu or merc all get good reviews in that size. I personally like Japanese for small motors.
Look for good off season promos and see who has the best warranty.

I would call dealers around your area and get quotes for either this years or last years 90 engines including rigging. Some shops may not even have stock so that may make the decision easier. Also I would look at warranty periods as well as price. Last i checked zuki had the longest warranty but other brands may have had to step theirs up to compete.
