Prawn trap theft in Lund

Well we've now experienced trap theft ourselves, had two prawn trap setups in a calm, tested area just north of Lund. Certain it wasn't a current or barge through the area. But we are aware it is commercial prawn season in the area....so is this a result of our traps not welcome at this time? Or someone just wanted to nab a couple of decent setups? Very disheartening.

That's a total drag Adler. I was planning to drop some traps on the back side of Harwood tomorrow, but I think I might just leave them at home now. I've heard that a few of the commercial guys take exception to sport traps anywhere near "their" grounds while the annual massacre is going on.

I had a ffriend set up in desolation last weekend about 400 metres from a commercial set. Found his buoys on the shore the next morning
