Posts being edited/deleted?

Anyone else notice their posts being edited or deleted? Recently I have had both occur.

It has me wondering if this is a forum or just "new media" that is being manipulated.

On one thread regarding a stolen kicker I posted a link to a news story which outlined the steps a University student had taken to finally retrieve her bicycle. The value had been in the different ways she had used the internet to track it down. It was there for a day or so, then poof, gone.

The other is this edit in "island salt water" (There are a few area's to stay away from;
