Port Hardy - no salmon

Just got back from 4 days of fishing with 4 other guys in Port Hardy - 4th time there, first time ever not to catch SALMON. Other boats also had no salmon caught! Seems like the Coho have not shown up and the Sockeye came through a couple of weeks ago. Did get lots of bottom fish - including Halis and lings....

Are you kiddin ! Where have you been dropping your lines? The coho are crazy big and schooling up due to lack of water depths in the rivers. You just have to venture to some more obscure spot's, not that far away. For the last week, every second cast is producing a nice fish, but ya gotta run to the mainland.......Big joe[B)]

Thank you for the tip, clearly fishing out in the salt was not to place to find the coho at Port Hardy, we should have traveled to the mainland river mouths![^]
