Well havnt got much done yet but thought I’d get this thread started. So far I ordered a brand new road runner trailer, pulled the motor, drive and transom plate. I was pleased to find everything in rock solid shape so far. The drive hole in the transom is solid as well with no cracks or rot found. Here is a few pics to start off with.

Here is a few more pics of the boat when I picked it up. It came out of Pitt lake and has been in the fresh water since new. Over all it’s in real nice shape other then needing some polishing, bottom paint and just over all clean up. It’s been completely re wired in the last few years but I will be re vamping that to my standards. The Inboard was blown but that’s ok as well as it will be another pod show. Being a marine mechanic for a living it’s gonna be hard to find time to keep steady progress but I will do my best to keep the pics coming.

That’s gonna be a nice ride

I’m assuming it’s gonna have a merc hanging off the back ?
actually two of them lol. Main is a 225 and the kicker is a 9.9 pro kicker with forward controls. Both motors are trade ins at the shop. Decent hrs and clean shape. They’ll get me out there for a few years till I can recoup the funds for new power. How’s that 30 kicker treating ya??

I love everything that's going on here! Great find - congrats!!

Well got her on the new trailer today with the help of the travel lift at work. Hard tops are great but I like the soft top in this model as it’s kind of rare. All though I’m not sure I like it next year when I have a new one made $$$ lol

The hardtops on that model were always too low anyways, your better off with a custom soft top or if ambitious and deep pockets a custom hardtop.

Well got a few good hrs on the boat today. Got the out side of the transom cleared off of swim grids and kicker bracket. De rigged all the Volvo rigging, steering and gutted the transom. Here is a few pics of today’s progress.

When are you going to find time to do mine?

Just looking at your pictures I noticed that the old blower vents on the transom face the cabin. My DE had them facing the stern is that normal?

Well not my motor of choice it will do for now till I can swing a new one. This belonged to a close family friend from new so I’ve been around it for years and know it was cared for well. Heading over to Victoria to do a compression test and bore scope the cylinders this weekend. It’s a 2000 250 ocean pro, has a brand new lower, new trim pump, new reeds, comes with all rigging and hydro steering. It’s gonna be hard to save for the new motor with this fuel and oil guzzler lol but she’s gonna fly!
