Kicker remote control

I went with a Garmin smart pump
Autopilot with secondary screen in helm and remote. Not a cheap setup but I like that it works in autopilot on step as well as trolling speed with my kicker when tied to the mains. For speed I have my kicker throttle mounted slightly aft of my mains so I can reach from the deck to adjust if necessary. The setup rocks and the autopilot works fantastic. Easy to control with the remote and it’s nice if you’re going on a longer trip and you want it to steer for you.

I had to go cheap, cheap ,cheap by comparison to some ideas.
due to finances I had to go with a manual throttle and remote mechanical steering using a key fob or joy stick.

Came in around $700 bucks a few years ago.
A self contained unit that attaches to the kicker not requiring any additional holes or complicated wiring, very simple. Can be installed in around 30 min.
So all I have left and right with the manual throttle just to the side.
It doesn't turn the outdrive but still has remarkable sharp turns. Easy to use too.
For mine I slid the entire unit into a bicycle tire tube and used zap straps to help keep it dry although that isn't a recommendation or requirement.
4 years now and still works great.
A local built unit. I don't know if he still makes them.

Certainly not a auto pilot but good for a one man show.
