Halibut?

Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum as well as completely green in the halibut department. I was hoping for some advice on gear setup, tackle, methods and maybe even possible locations to try from Sidney around to Sooke. Any tips at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

If you have some free time, try the search engine on this site, it will keep you busy with info on hali's.

You have some reading to do! Do a search (top right hand corner) there is a ton of info on general halibut info. A good place to get started to get acquainted with every thing.

Type in "Anchoring" in the search field.. a ton! of threads come up..
