Gardening pics, hacks, successes, and or failures

Try these guys.

I bought my seeds from theseedfair. They are local and i had no issue with the quality of the seeds or shipping.

There are much better options then crap king. They have a bad rap. Fraser valley beans brings in some solid genetics, and customer service is top notch.

Ill check these guys out cause I'm in the fraser valley.

nice bells did you buy starts or grow from seed? i having bad luck getting my peppers to germinant
Thanks, From seed fresh every year, Sunblaster trays and domes on seedling heat mat, raised on styro close to the lights so they do not get to leggy then remove a layers as they grow, started in late March, into hothouse early June after up potting twice, Tried year old seeds first this year with no luck. i just bought a heat mat, for next year i figured that was my problem as i was not getting it hot enough

Yeah I have no issue germinating everything else only peppers, so I thought it’s probably heat related as I read they need to be fairly hot

Started earlier this year. Generally it's been +10 and -4 and dry most days lately. Peas are growing along a south wall. Radish from seed is up.
Some carrot and parsnip seeds are in.
Broad beans, cabbage, broccolli, radishes, beets, spinach, romaine and leaf lettuce all from starts are surviving frost and growing slowly with protection.
Garlic, rhubarb, arugala, parsley, some leeks, and chives all overwintered and look good. Potatoes in containers are poking up and the ones in a bed should soon.
Tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, celery, and leeks are growing under lights and windows some have been up-potted. Melons are just seeded on a warm mat. Cucumbers and squash are next. Might try beans from starts this year instead of direct seed. Last frost is usually May 18ish.
Trying to have other plants ready for summer planting/fall harvest after other stuff comes out this year, like radicchio, fennel, and more lettuce, carrots, beets.
Princess Auto garage LED seems better than the basement Can.Tire tube grow lights.

We are still two months away from getting in the ground out here but momma is getting a strong start on her bedding plants and some tomatoes. Garlic was all in the ground last all and is still under 18” of snow cover,

Took a chance and put 6 tomatoes in about three weeks early. I have 25 or so more, so more of a trial. There is only one potential frost night (+3) and lots of days in the 20s in the forecast. Melons and peppers will wait a bit.
Potatoes and other stuff is going well.
