Drain Holes on deck of Malibu 20

Looking to make a couple holes in the deck of my new to me 1980 Malibu 20.

Im thinking closer to the corners as there is one in the center already close to the transom. (Podded)

Any reccomendations on where/what to use to water proof the exposed edges?

I would coat and exposed areas where you cut with a light coat 2 part epoxy to seal them

If I was doing that job, I’d use the brass or aluminum flared tubes they use for motor well drains. Butter them with Sikaflex or thickened epoxy. But then... I already own the flaring tool. You might be able to rent or borrow one. Mine cost 15 bucks or so from our local chandler.

I’d take both of those recommendations and combine them for the best result!
