Placed the deck back onto the hull this week

Haven't updated in awhile
Just got over a throat and chest infection was laid up for a week
Just started working on the boat again now that I'm feel better
Scraping and sanding anti fouling off, fun times
It was very uneven with multiple previous layer
Though I would give it a fresh new smooth life
And repair some damage that was caused by the trailer

Are you going to put anti fouling back on? I have it on mine and don't need it, always wonder when it starts to get ugly what that process would look like to remove it all.

@DanJ Make sure to wear PPE it gets everywhere, even if your trying to be careful as possible

@MikePA Yes I will be putting anti fouling on again
In my situation it has multiple hard layer over a softer layer against the gelcoat
So I'm able to use a scraper to get under the hard layers to remove most of the hard anti fouling
Still need to remove the softer layer
Then sand and prep for new anti fouling
Once I do some small repair caused by the trailer

Had a bad bottom on a buddy's boat and he was not paying me enough to scrape.
Had him buy an electric planer and went at it. Sounded like hell, but made it through multiple layers quickly.
Luckily this boat did not have lifting strakes or other interesting shapes in the hull.

Been a few weeks, Here's an update.
Got the bottom paint fully removed
That was a ugly two week process laying on my back scraping and sanding the bottom of the boat
Re did some repairs to the bottom of the boat that was done long before I got the boat
Repaired it with epoxy and 1708 just for my peace of mind
Now it's hard to tell that there was any previous damage done
Started to apply epoxy primer, few more coats and I'll be ready for paint

I made and added a riser for the fuel fill on the bow deck
To prevent any standing water from entering the fuel tank
And installed fuel tank vent on the side of the hull

Thinking it would be a straight forward conversion from rollers to bunks
After removing wheels and drum brake hubs
Found out bearing seal surface was pitted
And on further inspection leaf springs should be replaced
Main frame of trailer had little to no rust, but crossmember and axle was rusted but savable
So the tear down started, sanding, grinding and sand blast the worse parts
Then re painting all parts with cold galvanizing
And ordered most of the new trailer parts I'm replacing
Still a few things to get
