Cuts of meat on sale

Here's an interesting one:

Columbia Meats on Nanaimo Street in Vancouver has pre-marinated wild boar steaks on for around 6 or 7 bucks each.
Generous cuts, the marinade is most excellent.

Neighbor across the street & I often exchange grits.
His kids came over from the mainland for a visit, and he had them bring a couple extras along.
BarBee'd them up & WOW!
That was some of the VERY BEST pork we have ever chowed down on!
Highly Recommended!

Cheers,
Nog

I agree, those are super tasty! And that’s the every day price.

Liked them so much I had a good Buddy pick me up a nice handful of them over the weekend, vac seal & freeze.
He's wandering over soon, so bonus no shipping fees (beyond a slice or two of halibut for his efforts).

Cheers

Great Italian sausages there as well. They make for a good boat snack on the BBQ, in a bun with pickled peppers.......

Those boys are big hunters, I always wondered where that meat was coming from at that price. Great deal and delicious. I also get their Maui ribs a lot for a quick beach BBQ staple. Next time you order get some of their dry Soppressata as well.

Save on Foods has AAA whole brisket on for $4.99/lb starting tomorrow. I looked back and saw they had it on sale for $3.48/lb back in December 2020.
That was a sweet deal when they did. I think that one was an oversupply issue from Covid.

I went to QF foods this morning and saw a lady with 4 bags of chicken leg in her cart. So I went over to check it out and they are on sale for $1 per lb. On sale May 9 to May 15.
I picked up a bag $5.30, took it home and divided it into two bags for the freezer. Got 28 legs in total.

For ground beef I have been buying the Cosco giant AAA sirloin tip roast, they are about 12 to 13 pounds each and putting it though my meat grinder. End up with extra lean, and in my house hold we find it the best. Burger using grilled cheese sandwitches as buns with home ground beef!
