Commander 26 Re Build

Not much to report today, but I promised to report something everyday….
Lots of clean up around the boat but mainly pulled the trigger on a roadrunner trailer. Mike from roadrunner knew exactly what I’m looking for. His eyes lit up when I said it’s for a podded commander and knew everything about the boat. He will build one with bunks exactly for this length and move the axles back to support more weight from the pod. Should have it in a couple weeks!
It’s not my long term plan, I love being in a marina, it’s my happy place.

Mike's an amazing sales guy. I have one I bought from him for my boat, just be sure to go over the work order and make sure the end result matches. I found the hub assemblies rotted super fast on mine, and I would absolutely go disk brakes next time. They are local as you know and helpful after sales too.

He sure is…
He made me feel comfortable unlike the other guys which ask me stupid questions like what trailer length does the manufacturer recommend?!? For a podded commander?!?!
He addressed all my issues with weight and length right away, also showed me a pic of a podded boat he built a trailer for and was more interested about my pod and why I’m not happy with it without a rake. Then he showed me a few pics of podded boats all with straight pods…
Wow… now that I think of it, he is an amazing salesman!! LoL

Little bit more progress today, slowly tabbing the stringers, wasn’t able to set the final roving on the third stringer, a combination of too much hardener and warmer weather made me stop.8D710B6E-92AB-418A-8CB4-818152CAB64E.jpeg6CEBDFE1-4550-48F9-B706-7199286D3A56.jpeg6A9A1C72-397C-4F19-BA59-A5B96C1605B0.jpeg0DF68CF4-83E1-434E-9A27-3242CA09433C.jpeg43401583-C2EF-4E84-9ED8-1D118A6990F6.jpeg

Here’s the progress for the day.
Back to the previous post, sometimes words don’t come out right LoL. I’m not looking for a new guy, I meant if anyone sees Ron at a marina to let me know… I have his lunch bag. I’m sure Ron will eventually come back, until then the build must go on everyday. I want my Commander on the water now!
Finished the third stringer and prepared the last on with a nice bead of cabosil. I feel confident about my rolling and super happy with the outcome, will have this together in no time :)1564BB90-2E80-4A08-8931-BC164A7175C5.jpegC288D540-D31E-4681-AB5A-EFCF0437B8BB.jpeg06C5145D-F650-4472-AA25-F808A926062D.jpegC32E8D99-D2AF-477C-9B99-F5CB46F75B8A.jpegE983A592-C2CB-4073-9F3B-89FE39194D36.jpeg2A3AD3C5-5816-416E-8501-5BE680AEF614.jpegF9218F6F-3361-4CB5-BF94-0DBCD2CCAC8D.jpegAEA8B052-B6C3-49A7-A124-4664EB018569.jpeg266153CE-B9D3-46DD-99FA-002F47D37669.jpeg52010E39-446C-4114-9872-02F7AA9BBE5D.jpeg
