Coated Downriggers Balls (UV/Glow)

Hey guys,

Have any of you every done any testing on Downriggers balls that have the UV or Glow coating on them? I see them more frequently now but have never tried them. I need to pick some up before the season begins. They are only about $10 more...

Makes no difference imo. Coatings good so it doesn't mark up your boat. As long as it weighs 18lbs I don't care

I like glow myself. Cought lots of fish on uncoated as well

Under the algae bloom or fishing super deep I like glow, never noticed a diff in clear water or shallower than 150'. Nicer to handle but a waste if bangin bottom constantly..

Coating will reduce electrolysis; electrolysis can repel fish.
