Adding an extended transom to an Aluminum

I'm thinking of adding an extended transom to 18' Hewescraft, after chatting with one great member who had this done to his boat and one guy who did it himself. Both were sub-20 foot aluminums. Could anyone else lend their wisdom of which boat makers, or excellent welders/Fabricators, on Vancouver Island, would be willing to do this type of work and what it would cost approximately?

Thanks Chuck, does Daigle still do one off welding jobs on other brands of boats? I noticed lifetimer specifically says they will retrofit their boats. I would bet for them and Silverstreak it would depend on how busy they are and I bet everyone is busy as hell this season!

Depending if they do one off definatlty will reflect on how busy they are. Typical for most welding shops though.
So you will need to call and ask.

I had my 22' welded aluminum podded by DSS in Duncan. I was happy with the work and his turnaround was very prompt.
