2023 Victoria and Oak Bay Reports

Nice day to be out on the water but pretty quiet as far as fishing went around the gap. For myself anyways. Crabbing was good. Kept four keepers but threw back a couple of monsters that were a little too soft. They seemed to like Turkey carcass, stuffing and all.

    2023 Sidney Reports

Happy New Year all 🎉 I went out yesterday around Coal. Got into 3 undersized (~42cm) winters. Missed one other bite that could’ve been close. Right on bottom with AP sandlance spoon & highliner glo red stripe flasher had the most action. Anyone found anything bigger around yet? Wain? Powder wharf?

    Halibut Panang Curry

This is a recipe I've been trying to get just right for a while. Finally got a tip from a Thai restaurant owner that made the dish easier to make and really good. Check out the recipe HERE on the blog if you're so inclined.

    New fisherman

Hi there I recently moved to Colwood and would love to go fishing on a regular basis and meet some like minded people. The kicker is I don’t have a boat or gear (yet). I would be more than happy to pay my way but I can’t afford to pay a fishing guide. This maybe a long shot but thought I would...
