oh man, don't tempt me! I could make one a lot faster this time around that is for sure. A friend of mine had a glass pod made on the island it was really nice and well built. Price is reasonable compared to alum pod which get all gross looking from corrosion eventually. You are podding a 26 island runner? oh that will be one hell of a sexy boat.

I love the old Hourston Logo, so I had someone re-make it for me for 35 bucks. I have the file now and a guy who can print them I think it was like 50 bucks for that and the BC numbers. Let me know if you want the file ever.

I think we will be working together to make a pod to this one :) Thank you @myles

I done 2 hulls already and at the same time mind you, my 3rd, if a 3rd is to be done will be much smaller o_O

How is everyone mounting there riggers? Before I go get starboard and make this permanent
On my 20 hurtin hourston

Mine are side mounts a bit further forward let me see if I have a pic...I added steel plates inside where the side mount bolts through to distribute the load, no issues.

I remember now why mine are like that. Port side already had aside mount installed so I said ok let's do the same to starboard...flush mounted the new side then went to install the side done by the PO and surprise it's off 1/4" high...so I cut up a cutting board as a shim and it's been fine for 5 years no problem...I'm going to correct it next time someone way more talented than me is near the boat with gelcoat and a spray gun.

Regardless I like where mine are mounted and I would do it like this again. I am adding Amarine stainless rocket launchers to the boom, done with those sketchy plastic scotty flush mounts even with replacing each year those posts for the holder freak me out.

Ignore the dog but here is what ive done got my buddy to bent me up the alum all i did was cut a piece of cardboard and made it to that contour down on side straight across and down on front VERY easy to do and trust me riggers dont move and wiggle best part is water still flows under when washing boat, As you can see there is rod holder mount that is where my rod goes in front of rigger . So when i set gear I swivel back and its right in front of me to set gear ..there is a video of me on my website that shows How I do it also some nice fish (BTW)there has always been a huge debate on far rear or far forward I PERSONALLY like i as far forward as possibly can as when I have a fish on I swivel riggers forward and they are completely out of my way i have the whole back end of boat to not hamper me at all

Good luck Wolf

Is it just me or did no-one else take the glass out of these frame and reseal? I can't for the life of me find replacement seals etc... lol

I think a lot of guys have caulked them in.

For the guys that want to know here is the best channel match replacement I can find...

I would if I could but i can't so I wouldn't, haha They were rotten, very hard and fell apart after the windows came out, the channel came apart in pieces... :(

So i found the outside window gaskets to be very similar to common gasket spline... I think I will have to reclaim the inside gaskets, which I think i can, they were not in direct UV so not too brittle that they can not be reused, just a good cleanup needed.
