Well I dont know? maybe? 20 maybe beneficial for long casts if the salmon are around but it might hinder you if a big ling decides to go into the blocks?

Ok. I have 20lb right now. I don't know how often a fish comes along that can break line like that, but I wonder if it is worth going up 5-10lbs for the extra stength.

Does anyone ever fish off the beach next to the breakwater? I'm wondering if you might find a few surf perch in that area
