I have a unit that I am going to sell in a couple of weeks. It is a Lowrance LCX - 15, external gps antanna, navionics chips for ECVI and WCVI and a 50/200 transducer. Also comes with a spare responder.

The Lowrance Elite 5M Gold has everything you want. Combo colour with chip.
You have to keep your eyes open for the deals, but they are sometimes as low as $430NIB. Eventually they will pop up used.
Craven's suggestion is fantastic too!

You may find a Garmin 526 or the like for about that price, add a chip when u can for about 200. Incredible little unit ! For the price. I have the 526 with a chip and love it!
