I hate I/O myself but your fuel economy with the diesels is unreal. Those things would probably be triple the fuel.

I agree. But you'd hope if I had the 150k+ for the setup I could afford the fuel bill. Doubtful that either is in the cards for a looooooong time.

Go hybrid. Keep the IO diesels and add the 600hp onto outriggers glued to the gunnels...bam

Except there is no such thing out there. That pic is either a very well made photo shop job or someone made up some badges and stuck them on some existing engines.
I can’t find anything on them but maybe I’m missing something.

From what I’m reading it’s a v12, duo prop and only the lower unit moves to steer. It also may have 120v output so no need for a gen set. Not sure if all of that is true . If so, Pretty crazy set up
