What's for dinner tonight ?

Drink's fishing Partner OJ did this up for us on a Goldie trip some years back as appee .. Thought i would revist it for dinner the other night.. Just a good as the first time i tried it :)
OJ’s Sesame Crusted Salmon Sate's.



18 6'" bamboo skewers

1 12oz salmon fillet

1/4 cup oyster sauce

2 Tbsp orange juice concentrate

1 Tbsp soy sauce

1 clove garlic minced

1Tbsp grated fresh ginger

3 Tbsp chili paste ( OJ used Sambal Oelek at Nootka)

1/4 cup honey

1 Tbsp sesame oil

2-3 Tbsp Toasted sesame seeds



Presoak bamboo skewers for at least 30 minutes. Slice salmon into strips. Weave the strips onto the skewers.

In a bowl, combine all ingredients and brush half the marinade onto the salmon skewers. Let stand for at least 10 minutes.
Grill for 1 to 2 minutes on each side. Brush remaining marinade on the cooked salmon and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.

Just how I like my rib steaks. On the medium side of rare and well rested. I like the reverse sear and low and slow. They're just not as good unless all that fat melts..
 
My wife had some Mango with hers.. it was very tasty & will add that on next time for sure :)

I tried this the other day. It’s my wife’s new favourite salmon recipe. Looking back, I maybe should’ve waited to make it til tomorrow.
 
Did up some Squid from Blamtown that my Buddy Brad gave me.. so good :)

Last night was our "valentine dinner " with her sis and son so made octopus ceviche as some people on here inspired me (dog). and sushi many ways the highlight was a roll with elk roast on top tempura prawn in middle topped with garlic ,ginger and franks red hot and mayo, others were tuna tataki,tuna ,salmon,crab and yam and homemade chocolate pudding...it was a great night for a snow day!!!!!

hahahaha... Think that was a all nighter adventure :) there is some good storys from last year when the squid showed up in the harbour :)
When do they show up? I’d like to try to catch some for calamari
