Went by a few local tackle retailers today. Saw flashers priced from $12 to $15 and common/popular spoons priced from $6.99 all the way $9.99 for Tomic Spoons. Saw Tomic Plugs priced between $13.99 and $17.99 for the Tubbies WTH is going on?!

I guess it has been a while since I went in there and checked out prices.

Yep $9.99 for a 6" Tomic spoon and the chrome finish on the back side is not a quality finish, doesn't polish up at all. Still cheaper than bait and ok if they are working well.

I went to Wholesale Sports in Nanaimo early in September. Great selection, but the prices were high. Then on our way to Coombs/Port
Alberni, we stopped in at Pacific Net & Twine. Great staff, (Robert)
great selection and great prices. I can't say enough good stuff about
this store. I went all over victoria looking for a particular "scud"
and nobody had them, most people looked at me funny, had no idea what I was talking about. Robert had one in stock and said he could get me all the different patterns that I wanted. Spoons, plugs, hootchies, flashers, lead etc... all way cheaper than the competitors. No Attitude, no BS, great store! Location 1380 Port Alberni Highway. Ph# (250) 248-6953

The one in Steveston is pretty spartan....I was in there. Some prices are good.....but others aren't that great.

I'll check out the Parksville one next time I'm over.

Check out Active if you are in Vancouver but call in advance. Not a pretty browse type shop by any means but if you know what you want they'll likely get it and ship it to you at a fair price.
