Spoon Shine

Bows Up

Down to the last squeeze out of my tube of Flitz. Been happy with it as it is good for brass and chrome.

Any better product in the market ? What do you polish spoons with or do you even bother ?

I use this stuff. PNT usually has it in stock.

Red Bear is a good start if they are in bad shape. Then finish with Wenol:

You will not believe the finish with this stuff! Incredible!!

Spoon Brite = Hydratone - available at most commercial fishing outlets. Keep's 'em shiney.

black hooks on plated spoons or stainless ????when i was a deckhand 20 years ago we used black and changed them every few days but when we got into big springs they would bend the black ones out so we changed to stainless - when you store them in the solution with stainless it turns the spoons color right???

Yes, it does. Also makes the spoon act something like a battery down below due to the electrical differences in the hook and spoon metal. Usually corrodes them with stainless hooks very quickly.

Try nickled hooks - oversized Partridge (English) hooks did the trick for me...
