Smokercraft for fishing and exploring around island?

I think these boats are originally intended for the Great Lakes which are like inland seas.

Any thoughts how an 18' Phantom would be for fishing and exploring Vancouver Island?

I'm sure it would be fine for inlets and inside waters but I wouldn't venture to far offshore on the West coast with it. eman

The phantom is welded I believe so will be better than a lot of the rivets ones you see. Smoker craft is trying to get a pieces of the welded aluminum market I looked at a couple they look entry level but ok. I think it will work fine
