Nootka Sound distances

I'm going to be in Nootka Sound for 4 days next week. For planning purposes, I was wondering what is the average travel time from Moutcha bay to Bajo Reef. I usually average about 27knots cruising in my boat. I know it varies with sea conditions, but let's assume its calm on the inside and reasonably good on the outside, because if its blowing too hard outside I wouldn't be heading out in my 19' boat. With that said what are the best ways to get sea conditions on the outside without having to motor down? I figure if I know it is not safe in my boat, I won't even bother motoring all the way to the surf line just to "cehck the weather". I might just pick some sheltered spots on the inside right away.

You are looking at 16-17 miles to the lighthouse so about 35 minutes
Another 11 miles to the red bouy at Bajo and you are usually going to have some waves slowing you down so another 30-45 minutes.

Swell watch gives you a good idea of what's happening outside. You can zoom into west coast.

45-50 minutes from Critter Cove, so, add 10-15 minutes on that from Moutcha. Half in protected water half more or less off shore.

All GOOD info. But if you are interested in Good Chinook Fishing no need to Go Outside they are stacked up at Coopte Pt. ( Bottom Of Tahsis Inlet East side.
