Nootka - Critter Cove

I have been running Seaguar 30# fluro for both Tomics and chovies for 3 years w maybe 1 lost fish. I never fish a leader longer than a day, less if Coho around. I use a palomar.

I would also suggest that fishing the surfline..is VERY much like fishing a river, Springs "hang" in the eddy and wait for dinner, they get a great look at it (bait, lure whatever). They also tend to lie just below and away from a shelf and will take baits pulled to & over them. 7 fish in 7 passes thru the slot at Pin and 8 for 8 at Ferrer, with fish coming out of a space 20' x 20' each time, convinced me of this. Presentation, including roll and speed is everything.

as to Owner hooks, I might consider using them again..but the Siwash eye diameter does not accomodate a snelled 50# triple fish Perlon leader..which I use for something...else.....
