Launching in Port Renfrew

Guys, my first time in Port Renfrew. I will be staying close to Gateway Marina and would like to know where I can launch my boat and if that launch is tide dependent? I am looking at 3-5 ft tide at the times that I will most likely launch/pick-up. Appreciate any suggestions and advice. Thanks.

Depending on the size of your boat and if you have help launching or if you are doing it solo will dictate where you can or would want to launch?

I would avoid gateway marina (the new one if I've got the name wrong).

That launch is sketchy even in a small boat.

The marina or the native launch are good. If your solo use the marina. There is a spot by the bridge you could dump a small boat too but I do mean small.

Like GDW said the Gateway launch is tight and slick at lower tides. I use it only because my boat is moored there for the summer and I pull it to give the bottom a bath from time to time. I only do it at a high tide and on calm evenings though. You can run out of room there pretty quick. The best all around launch is probably the native launch other than no place to tie up.
