Let me guarantee you it's NOT people who own boats in the gulf islands who believe in balanced science-based measures. You have a few folks who believe anything Raincoast or similar puts out and doesn't question it.

a few folks? maybe more then a few just have to look at the election polls to see that. Do you really think it's a coincidence that the area that votes for greens year after year ends up with more environmental/harvest regulations in the area?.

With some luck this will change. A LOT fewer Green party stickers on the island compared to 4 years ago...

Yeah wasn’t that long ago we had a Reform who later became a Conservative MP in office for 14 years, 1997-2011. Maybe if they run a decent candidate they can blast May out of office. That being said, she is making no policy this is all on the Liberals! Doesn’t hurt she’s willing to throw her constituents under the bus though!

I would say one of your best chances for a fishery would be to get some of the cowichan terminal areas to open up.

I really don’t see the point in the Fishing BC App, it’s not updated yet almost 24 hrs later.

Can’t blame the app entirely, the website (other than the notice) was not updated until a few hours earlier.

Lol yeah I don’t even fish near there but it seems Thoes that did would rather see it left closed, oh well At lest they removed the northern closures
