Hoskyn Channel Prawning

[17 ft sea ranger]

Hey there, I am heading up towards hoskyn channel (East side of Quadra Island) for some work opportunities real soon. Just wondering if anyone has prawned in that that area and is it worth while for me to bring some gear? Curious on if the currents in that area would be too strong?

Hate to ask....but how is the crabbing up in that area? Was thinking of trying Village Bay.....?

that i can’t tell ya i’ve never crabbed back there. owen bay to the north can be decent but it’s been years

Yep-- chased one ahole to the dock to get my trap back about 3 yrs ago... I had only dropped it 1/2 hr when he grabbed it.
