On Constance this a.m. fishing strip on one rod and copcar spoon
on the other, double header.
landed one about 12-13 lbs and lost the other as it wrapped
itself around the downrigger wire.

This is a little off topic but a good story none the less.
One of my buddies, who is a partial owner of poett nook, was trolling for springs near robbers passage and landed a 50 lbs hali 30 feet down on a coyote.
Pretty suprising catch for the area

actually it's not that surprising. i've heard of a few halibut caught on the troll around that area. mostly sanford tho, sattalite pass.. this must have been like july or august???
cause thats usually when some halibut move off the banks and into the sound. i've even heard of a halibut caught right off mactush campgound in the inlet, on the troll. but yea still a good story.
