I think I did once from Superstore. I think the point will always be fatty enough but it's the flat that would suffer. But flat eaters be damned anyways!

picked one up last night. They look really good.

Sadly the store I went to had poor cuts of brisket.
The fat cap was thicker than the flat portion, which would have been beef jerky after 12-15 hours in a smoker.
Might go check some briskets at another store.

I went to savon last time they had a sale on brisket. The ones in the cooler didn't look that good so I asked the Butcher dept if they had more in the back. The guy broke out a case out of the back, layed them all out for us to pick one. Really nice brisket selection

I use whole legs for my bait. My buddy used whatever the butcher had and never had issues.
