Another Electronics Question

I even had a dealer tell me
that although they can get the stuff they tend to shy away from it as it's a lot more fiddly to install (their words).
Very true for their DFF3D product. For the older Navnet 1 RADAR I have & the new TZT16 Multi function display not true; no wiring required except NMEA 0183; just plug in the connectors. Some of their older sounder stuff required some wiring. Garmin will be fine; the guy I buy from is a former US government SONAR engineer & he fishes saltwater exclusively & he uses Garmin as he thinks their CHIRP is superior to Lowrance for saltwater. You will probably get better bathymetric charts for our area from Garmin versus Furuno. I DO however think I will get faster service from Furuno seeing they are in WA state, but I also live there.
