2022 Bamfield and Barkley Sound Reports

Got to bamfield for the weekend. Found fish at Kirby and got a quick limit Sunday morning at the wall. All fish on white hootchy except a dinker on a spoon. Fish had either squid or 4 inch herring in stomach. Mo

troll the deep water in Sechart channel, theres howard point, swale rock and up to harbour entrance- could all be done in a day of trolling.
i would avoid going/fishing out towards ukee unless that is a destination.

Any particular reason you'd avoid going towards Ukee?

Nice work! Any spots to jig for squid other than the Ukee dock and Keeha Bay? Anyone having luck catching squid at those stops or others?

That'll perfect after a long day on the water. Nice to not have to cook everyday on a trip. Tried the store pizza last year. Wasn't overly impressed.

Sorry to hear Barry sold out....spent many a season at Bamfield Lodge. Is your friend maintaining the lodge and dock for guests, same as Barry did all those years?
