SH's yesterday for the tide 9-2:30, there were about 8-10 boats out. Saw what looked like a nice sized chinook landed by another boat. Nothing for us dragging chovies except for a few shakers.
Weather was nice.

Fished the cap most the day, funny everyone packed up around 4-4:30 and we had the high slack to ourselves with just one other boat... which was surprising... but nice. Got a 11# marble right at 5pm. Great evening, and nice little birthday fish for me to end the season on. Used chovies all day at various depths. Got this one on a purple flash at 80’ right at the shipping lane boundary on that honey hole turn. See you next year!

I have been out prawning and thinking it is just about time to let the females lay their eggs. Over half of my catch has been females with eggs. It is tough to throw them back as they are much bigger than the males. Hopefully everyone else is following the regulations and releasing them too.
All Prawns are born as males until they turn into Females usually four year olds and a lot of people don't prawn at this time of year because the keepers are so small.

anybody catching Cohoes or Chums, NA or South Arm? Thinking to head out tomorrow if a chance?

Spent some time at na and sa 12-sunset yesterday. Had a couple of strikes within a minute of each other around 2:30 that didn’t stick at 33’ and on the whiskey line chovie on the rigger herring off the back. Only two other boats out there which made the challenging wind tide combo manageable. Was windier than forecasted

Has anyone caught anything recently? I want to give it another go this week. What’s the best locations right now?
