Lovely boat, the exterior lines of the bigger boats are quite lovely. The price reminded me why we went for a 25 with a pod.

Why would those engines on the Jaxon Craft both have the same rotation? @Bill 310 ?

Good eye. I don't know why they would be set up without counterrotation

Maybe there were no reverse rotations available, or a better explanation was that of TheHurtLocker because of parts availability for the counter rotating motors folks just buy two regulars.

We went with Suzuki's because any Suzuki can be counter rotating

I remember hearing that the prior Evinrude motors were problematic.

Is that a hourston? I can't tell between the hard top and the 1901 claimed model (doesn't exist).

Agreed, I believe this boat has been discussed on here before and it was decided it’s likely not a hourston if I remember correctly

I didn’t remember the name on the side though. And it certainly wouldn’t be the first seller to get the model number wrong.

Lots of guys in CR do it. It’s really hard to get parts for your counter rotating motor, so lots go with two normal rotating. If you hit anything, better chance in getting bottom end parts, and getting back out there.
It's a 2019 hull with 2022 engines. Maybe something was already hit or stolen and those are not the same engines attached to the boat compared to when it was built?

Any idea the make of this boat ?

I have a buddy that is 2nd in line to go check it out. What are guys thoughts on this vintage evinrude ? I am not super familiar with them and it would be the first thing I would swap out.

Not sure the build but it was for sale in the summer for 16k I believe which was a steal. It was originally in Mcneil then I saw it in the water recently in Ucluelet. It looks like a micron build (small shop in Port McNeil that does good work). Cool little setup.

Blue Wolf (Roy) might be able to say if it's a Hourston or not. I remember him fishing out of a boat just like that many moons ago.I think his was black or grey.

This boat was for sale a little while ago and was a buddy’s boat for years up in Port Hardy, it seems to keep changing hands. The cabin was an add on after he bought the boat and it pounds in any chop. I can’t remember where he originally bought the hull.

Those inline etecs are pretty rock solid. Easy on fuel. Can go fishing all day on a little day tank. I'd run that thing till the wheels fall off.
