Just past Selkirk Trestle won,t cost you a dime.

Out from 4 to 7 for some post work fishing. Looked like I had Constance pretty much to myself, and man was it nice out there! Managed to scare up a couple of decent fish, a nine pounder and a 13 pounder both clipped and red springs. 13 fought like a champ! Bellies full of needle fish and a decent sized herring. All caught close to bottom...lots of cod and lings popping up too!

Out in a buddies boat yesterday launching out of Esq. Anglers. Out from the Saxe Point Flag Pole about even with a little bit past the stern of the closer to shore of the two anchored freighters off Esquimalt harbor was an extremely large dead Sea Lion floating with its gassed up belly up. Could not see any obvious sign of a cause of death from the part of it up out of the water. No smell and not yet showing much sign of deterioration. Took some pictures and may post them if I can find my Micro SD to SD adapter.

Went out to Constance and there are lots of Salmon around not far off the bottom and double glow and UV squirts seem to be producing well with glow and UV flashers on the drop offs in about 100 feet of water column. A little tricky matching blowback to stay close to the bottom without hanging up your rigger ball. We had some pin poppers and released some smaller Chinook and the seals are also grabbing some while you are playing them. My Buddy had a good battle playing a large Chinook up to the boat and releasing it as it was way over slot and not clipped. Not much in the way of shoulders on it but very long with few spots on the tail. Seemed to have the typical Puget Sound Chinook look to it.

Beautiful very hot day out there in the PM for the eleven boats fishing Constance Bank around the anchored freighter. That was us that waved at you Profisher.

Interesting....we were out front of Albert Head, not too far from those freighters (there were 3) on Saturday when we came across a dead porpoise (dolphin?), also belly-up, in the tide line with a pile of kelp around it. Couldn't get too close, no pics, but that was a first for us.

Disaster day for me out at Constance. First I lose a cannon ball then later I decide to leave one of the countless immature ling cods on the bottom for a bit and then Kapow. Caught a Freight Train headed for Port Angeles. Couldn,t turn him and got spooled. Halibut? Seal? Skate? Nuclear Submarine? Who knows? But someone is dragging around 400' of my nice new expensive braided line and spreader bar.

That sounds like an awesome day man. Beauty weather eh?

That's the third story I've heard recently about someone hooking into something that just kept going like a freight train and didn't stop. Is this normal?

Went out last night threw one back and threw back a pile of lings. Disaster struck on the way back in from constance didn't see or feel like I hit anything.. <a href="http://s971.photobucket.com/user/svir_symon/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20140501_094000.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i971.photobucket.com/albums/ae198/svir_symon/Mobile%20Uploads/20140501_094000.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 20140501_094000.jpg"/></a> <a href="http://s971.photobucket.com/user/svir_symon/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20140501_135812.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i971.photobucket.com/albums/ae198/svir_symon/Mobile%20Uploads/20140501_135812.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 20140501_135812.jpg"/></a>
