I got up to a flat tire on the truck. Then I noticed the wind was up a bit. How was the water today?

Fished the Q10 marker from 10 to 12.30 today. At least I think it was the Q10 marker, half way btw the mouth of the Fraser and Bowen. Two other boats out there, one guy had two in the boat, saw the other guy net one. We got one about 10 pounds. Looks like there are some fish around.

Couldn't get out as my Van. Marathon bike escort prep kept me busy . BCSFGA also put in the net pens today ( chinook smolts go in this week) so there's no way I would have gotten out fishing. Wish I was out there today as the wind died and heard the fishing was good. (Forgotten what its like to fish in calm water!) Looks like wind is coming up tonight but morning looks like there will be a window of time its not too bad. The sound outflow is supposed to die mid day so perhaps the morning off hump and /or up the sound later, if hump gets too rough

QA is the marker.

One of those boats bagged 3.

I better not have a flat in the morning. [:I] Wind looks great tommorow and tide is low at noon, so fishing a falling tide could be hot.

Thats often so true but last week and weekend some great action happened after that low change and into the flood . Anotherwords what I am trying to say is you don't have to get up very early to get fish !!

Fished beside Bon Chovy and 3 other boats all morning and it was dead. But of course I will hear how great it was in the afternoon. :(

Was also out this morning beautiful day on the water< flat and warm!!! no fish for me, but a pot full crabs!!!:D beats any day at work!!

spent all day from early until 7 pm off south bowen with the wife today. She had 5 undersize on her gear and my rod had nothing. Hope today was just an off day for the springs. be back out tomorrow. Dropped a couple prawn traps off bowen 25 big ones in my cheap trap and 2 in my new commercial traps. One crab trap had 8 big ones and the other had bait eaten but no crab.

thats where that beer went???? kidding, we must have been robbed last week also, bones left on fillet skeleton and no crabs?? no beer though? thats why i would go to one of those commercial traps, they dont get out of those so easy
