Two station mechanical controls

For those of you that have set up twin outboards with two stations, what was involved? Hydraulic helm is straight forward enough, but what about throttle and shift? I see some parts you can use to combine the cables, but its unclear to me how these work.

Yeah I've seen the parts but it's a bit confusing or unclear how it works, in practice.

I want twins with no kicker for my next boat.

You can buy morse controls and install in series or tandem... I am think the same not for twins but dual stations.
