Sealing a sandblasted aluminum Lund

I will be getting all the old paint sand blasted off my 16' Lund this week. Has anyone had any luck with a sealer or polish that will keep the aluminum looking fresh . I would like it to have a long lasting shine. I will also be re painting the inside of the boat. Can anyone recommend a good marine paint that will stand up. I used a product two years ago called interlux bilgekote and it pealed. Maybe a quick dry enamel is not the right product? Springs open in a little over two weeks in the Fraser! I need to get this boat finished!!!

Fishin' zinn has a nice shiny Ironwood. Here is his quote from about page 117 in the show your ride thread:

" I actually coated it with a 'micro-clearcoat' called opti-coat, which is usually used for car detailing... So hopefully, longer than just a few months! Also sealed it with a good synthetic wax. If I do have to polish it again, it will definiltey be easier now that the initial work was done!"
