Sorry Fishtofino
I just think there's a time and place for everything. In my shop radio is on, sometimes loud and me singing, effects no one but my ears?? Never heard anyone at the ramp, campsite or lake complaining about the silence while out for the days fishing. Cant say the same for the music boats, sound carries well and far over water as I am sure you are aware. The question was asked, do you think that playing music would hurt the fishing. I raise the point maybe we should be asking if it upsets the masses around us also fishing. How loud is the music if you worry about the fish or vibrations?? Would you argue that most fishermen/women enjoy the solitude, silence and getting away from it all while fishing. May be the biggest reason to be on the water for some who don't worry about limits, size or numbers just quiet quality time spent with the family, friends and especially our young ones while hoping for a fresh meal.
Again just me and another point of view but by reading the posts on here I think there are lots who agree. Perhaps the new member Lachlan does not know this point of view?
