Looks like we are filled up at Mills Landing already.

Imperial Eagle still has some self contained units remaining for the derby though, and is easily withing stumbling distance.

Sure seems like the fish are bigger this winter as well.

This is one of the best derbies of the year,good way to break the liver in for the summer fishery.It's also going to be the first trip for my lowrance structure scan,hope it works as good as it does on youtube.

Last year we caught more fish per day than we did during the summer out there... so we are definitely in again for this year! cant wait.

I have booked a bunkhouse at Poett Nook for the derby. It will be my first time in the area. How far offshore is the fishing at this time of year?

You can fish right out in front of Poett Nook. I think the winner 2 years ago was caught within a few minutes of the Nook. You don't need to go offshore, you can fish close to Bamfield and the Nook for this one.

grab a bud or 2 , hook up that Sweet Rig of urs , , get in her in at Clutsei , , there will be several running the canal , tuck in and give er , Derby's a blast , can probabally hook ya up with acommy at the Nook, 1 Bunkhouse Room easily for 3 , Your Cuddy Would make a " Sweet Spa " ..." Know Wat I`ama Sayun !

Had a peak in the Bunkhouse a few weeks ago ,think each room had 4 individual bunks ,and a mini fridge ,seperate heater, full Common Kitchen fully stocked with all dishes and utensils , looks great , warm n comfy , , everything you need
