I think I've been doing it wrong.......... I am using the wrong anchor, chain, rope, bouy, setting the wrong way in the wrong places. I am so much more confident now that I read this topic. LOL

All great info for sure. I guess it depends on where you are trying to anchor as to which system will work better for you. I can see that using an anchor system of your choosing at or near slack tide may be a safer way to learn the ins and outs of setting and retrieval before actually setting in a fishing situation. As in anything in life, practice is the best measure of safety.
